Vancouver Island Aircrew Association

Royal Canadian Air Force Canadian Forces Royal Air Force Aims
The aim of the Vancouver Island Aircrew Association is to maintain and strengthen the bonds that were formed between those who served, or those who are currently serving, as aircrew in the armed forces. The Association also aims to commemorate those comrades lost in the line of duty. These aims are met through a variety of social functions, and special events to mark significant historical occasions.
Membership
The membership of the Vancouver Island Aircrew Association effective 20 January 2011 is 113 representing all aircrew categories.
Eligibility
All aircrew who are serving in or who are retired from Commonwealth or Allied Air Forces are welcome to join the Aircrew Association. Our members enjoy the camaraderie and social activities of this special group who share the strong and unique bond that prevails among military aircrew.
Membership is open to all who have been awarded a flying badge in the armed services and who have served in any of the aircrew categories recognized by the Association. These embrace a wide selection of personnel who are, or have been, involved in the operation of the flying military aircraft. For more information check the VIAA Constitution link on the Home page.
We now accept, as associate members, personnel other than aircrew who have an interest in military aviation and would benefit our group. We have welcomed associate members with armament, navy, and engineering backgrounds.
